As A child my parents moved into the flight path of an airport and I was fascinated by the airplanes. I was always imagining people flying to someplace fun or interesting. I would imagine far off places and being a pilot. My grand parents lived close to Wright Patterson Air Force base so we got to see a lot of aircraft. In the 70’s it was common to see fighters and cargo aircraft flying. When we traveled to visit family in Michigan my uncle was into building RC airplanes. He had a little house or shed full of those little airplanes. Some were half built being just a wooden skeleton or just plans, needless to say being a child I was hooked.
\In high school the aviation maintenance class was offered and I was all in. Unfortunately my senior year some unfortunate things happened that put my aviation career on the back burner. Life has a funny way of working out and I wound up finding my way back to aviation. I finally had the money to afford my training and now have the freedom to fly.
