Had a great time at the EAA fly-in at Moraine Airpark I73. There was a debut of a new build, a Hatz from New Carlisle 3OH0. The builder Frank Shultz did an amazing job. A crowd gathered to have a look and it was a hit. I was able to get a sneak peek a few days in advance when they were doing a test flight. The sound of a round engine is somehow pleasing to the ears and it didn’t disappoint.
On this day this was either the first start and flight or very close to the first. As I understood it he just finished the build. According to Frank Shultz the builder and owner it was a 10 year project. In my opinion the craftsmanship was outstanding.
